Michelle and Scott's Wedding

It was a small affair, but a very special group of folks. Congratulations to Michelle and Scott. We are glad you brought your closest friends and family to Bluff Mountain for this special day.

Ashley and Ricky's Wedding

Ashley and Ricky were high school sweethearts in Knoxville, TN, and this past Saturday they held their wedding here at Bluff Mountain Inn. They were a lovely couple, and we had a great time with them. I don't think they'll mind if we use their wedding shots to tell the story of the day, as well as tell you a little bit about what we do on wedding days.

As the bride gets ready we like to pop in and out to get shots of the process. It's always quite entertaining...


We also like to take lots of detail shots to possibly use in a storybook album. This blog entry would be a good example of the type shots we'd use in an album, just fewer images here.

We caught a little hummingbird with an eye on Ashley's bouquet! Now we can't guarantee the hummingbird will show up, but if he does we're going to do our best to get him in the photo.


Of course the guys get in on the action as well...

Once the bride and groom have greeted their guests, we're off to shoot the wedding party.



Well, you've gotta have a little fun, no?


Then the bridal party leaves and it's time for portraits of Ashley and Ricky.



Sometimes a guy on a motorcycle just happens to drive up. He was a little late for the ceremony, but didn't mind letting us borrow his very nice prop...


That's called taking advantage of the situation at hand. Whether it's a hummingbird, a guy on a motorcycle or just a butterfly...


After the bride and groom portraits, it's time for the reception.




Although the focus is on the happy couple, we love to take candid shots of everyone around, just for fun...

When the reception ends, Ashley and Ricky are off to their happy honeymoon...

Randi and Brad Elope to the Mountains

They met on a blind date... go figure! But it certainly stuck. Congratulations to Randi and Brad on their wedding day, and we wish you the best.

Amber and Johnny

We were glad to see Amber, Johnny and Coby when they came for a cake tasting the other day. Thanks for coming up for a look around, and we look forward to seeing you again next May!

Katie and Doc Elope to the Mountains

Katie and Doc are a great couple from Kingston Springs, where they met at a local pub, dated for a while and decided to elope! We're really glad they did and especially glad they chose us to help them with their wedding plans. They were a lot of fun...

Kauai meets the Mountains

So I get this call one morning... "Hi, we live in Kauai Hawaii and we want to get married in the Smoky Mountains". "Get Outa Town!" was the response... "How about we just come there and have the wedding???" But the friends and family were much closer to here than there, and they'd recently relocated, and it just worked... We're very happy it did, although that trip to HI sounds pretty nice sometimes... maybe next time.
