Crystal and Paul renew their vows

Crystal and Paul were married here on June 23, 2007. So for their first anniversary they decided to come back and renew their vows, along with a nice little dinner and a cool ride.








This is the top layer of their cake they saved from last year. Turned out pretty good after a year in the freezer, no? (not the flowers....)

So....

It's been a busy Friday here at Bluff Mountain. Most Fridays are just a little hectic getting ready for Saturday. Last minute details and all that stuff...

Anyway, we were hanging a new piece of iron art we just got from Ironic (sorry. no photos of the art tonight. we were too busy...) when Crystal and Amanda spotted a Cicada carcass on a tree.

But taking a second look... Holy Moley, it's not a carcass. It's alive! Run, get the cameras!!!

Welcome to the world Zack the Cicada! Although from what I understand, Zack has had quite a life life underground, I'm pretty sure this is his first day being able to take a look around...


And all of a sudden, he's looking right into our lens, spreading his wings and getting ready to rock!






Zack's coming out party, as it were...




Check out his little wings getting ready to stretch out!


And voila! He has wings!!! Ata boy!!!
Just hanging out... gathering his thoughts.


Oh yeah! We pulled out the good lights! After all, it's only every 13 or 17 years these guys come around. May as well give them the rock star treatment, no?



Suddenly, out of nowhere, here comes a lady bug!


Although, as you can see in his eyes, Zack is a little suspicious, he remains cool and collected.


Ready for a night on the town, Zack takes a walk up Amanda's arm...


And stopped to for this sexy pose (looks just like Glamor Shots, no?).




As he makes his way towards parts unknown, Zack stopped for one last pose, and waved goodbye, in our signature Gold Frame shot.

Have a great life Zack, as short as it may be (watch out for birds). We had a great time hosting your launch into this great big world, and we hope you'll take those new wings and fly away to some exotic destination. The Smoky Cove Pool is only a couple of blocks away... just a thought.

With the world being the crazy place it is these days, and our military stretched to the max all over the globe, it's our pleasure and delight to offer a quiet and relaxing wedding day for these folks when we can. Congratulations to Katie who just married Ben, a US Marine. He's also one of the nicest guys we've seen here. This was a lovely couple, fun to be with, and share much love together. It shows all the way through their day.
